I am sure hardcore fans will notice the difference, but for me, there is not a ton of variety in the way that many of the cars look. The cars do look good and I think the idea of being based around one car manufacturer is clever, but for me, it does come at a bit of a price.

Apart from this, the game looks decent enough. It moves at a quick pace and the different tracks which are all based in Europe have a nice variety to them as well. It clearly cannot match a modern racing game, but at the time this was released it looked good, not as good as Gran Turismo , but good none the less.

That is because it is more about having fun than ultra-realistic handling. This at its core is most certainly an arcade-style racer and that is what I love about it. The core gameplay has not changed much from the last game in the series, but that is not a bad thing. I just wish they had kept some kind of hot pursuit game mode in here as that was a blast to play with your friends. I know that for many this is a game that they feel is not really needed and I can get that.
