On my machine, the problem was an improperly registered Ole Fixing this immediately solved the problem. To do the same, follow these steps Click "Start," click "Run," type "regsvr32 ole DLL succeeded. Your CD Writing Wizard should now work. I'm having the same problem, with roughly the same configuration except that I don't have Nero, and the CD drive is an internal Matshita. I've tried a number of the suggestions above setting process to automatic, re-registering, reducing speed , but still no dice. Here's a link for details. In reply to A. I will try deleting partitions etc,. If that fails, will remove disc and clean. Does the fact that it is OEM cause any problems? In reply to Connie.
Deleting partition and install did not work. Setup still would not copy certain files. There is scratch on the disc. I cleaned it as best as possible and am retrying the install. Looks like the disc is not going to install properly.
Same copy errors are happening. If you have any suggestions on how to fix a scratched disc, I'm all ears. Shenan Stanley. How you make the copy will depend on many factors.
